Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Flickwrite, a desktop application that lets you highlight text in any app, press a key, type or speak a command, and have an AI rewrite the selection in place. By using Flickwrite you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1Acceptance of these Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Flickwrite, or by creating an account, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you are using Flickwrite on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and "you" refers to both you and that organization. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2Description of the service

Flickwrite is a desktop tool. You highlight text in any application, press a hotkey (F8 by default, remappable to another key), and type or speak a command such as "make this warmer", "reply yes", "shorten to one line", or "turn into a prompt". An AI model rewrites the selected text and pastes the result back in place. Flickwrite can auto-detect the destination application to match tone, supports saved command presets, push-to-talk voice input, and runs from the system tray.

The free tier includes a weekly limit on the number of words rewritten. Paid tiers remove that limit and add higher-quality models and other features as described on our pricing page. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

3Accounts and eligibility

Some features require an account. You agree to provide accurate information, to keep your credentials secure, and to be responsible for all activity under your account. You must be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to use Flickwrite. The service is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where a higher age applies).

4Subscriptions, billing and renewals

Plans and pricing

Flickwrite offers a free Basic plan, a paid Pro plan, and Team or Enterprise plans. Pro is billed monthly or annually. Current prices are shown on the pricing page and may change with notice.

Free trial

We may offer a 14-day free trial of Pro. No credit card is required to start the trial unless stated otherwise. If you do not cancel before the trial ends and you have provided payment details, the plan may convert to a paid subscription.

Auto-renewal and cancellation

Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual) until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then.

Refunds and taxes

Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable, including for partial periods. Prices are exclusive of taxes unless stated, and you are responsible for applicable taxes. Payment processing is handled by a third-party payment processor; we do not store full card details.

5Acceptable use

You agree not to use Flickwrite to:

• break any applicable law or infringe anyone's rights;
• generate or distribute unlawful, harmful, harassing, hateful, or deceptive content;
• submit content you do not have the right to submit, or that violates confidentiality obligations;
• attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the service or its providers;
• resell or provide the service to third parties except as expressly permitted by your plan.

We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms, including the usage limits and acceptable-use rules.

6Intellectual property

Flickwrite, including its software, design, logos, and the inventor's-notebook visual identity, is owned by Ignite AI System and its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Flickwrite for its intended purpose, subject to these Terms. We reserve all rights not expressly granted.

7Your content and the text you submit

"Your content" includes the text you select, the commands you type or speak, and the voice audio you record for transcription. You retain ownership of your content and of the rewritten output. You grant us a limited license to process your content only as needed to operate the service, for example to send it to an AI provider to fulfill your request and to return the result to you. We do not claim ownership of your text, and we do not use your submitted text or audio to train our own models.

You are responsible for your content and for reviewing AI output before relying on it. AI output can be inaccurate; treat it as a draft.

8Third-party AI providers

To rewrite text and transcribe voice, Flickwrite sends your selected text, command, and audio to third-party AI providers, and to a speech-to-text provider, so they can fulfill your request and return a result. Your use of those features is also subject to those providers' terms and policies. We are not responsible for the providers' services, and the quality and availability of AI output depends in part on them. See our Privacy Policy for how data flows to these processors.

9Disclaimers

Flickwrite is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that AI output will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any purpose. You use the service at your own risk.

10Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ignite AI System and its affiliates, officers, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business, arising out of or related to your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or fifty US dollars. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.

11Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ignite AI System and its affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your content, your use of the service, or your breach of these Terms.

12Changes to the service and Terms

We may modify the service or these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.

13Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. The courts located in that jurisdiction will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, unless mandatory local law provides otherwise.
